Andrew Minigutti, M.D. loves communicating to his patients the evidence-based reasons for his recommendations. Meet Our Nurse Practitioners
Michelle Holcomb, RN, FNP
Michelle Holcomb is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2006. An RN since 1993, she has years of experience as a registered nurse in emergency, adult intensive care and neonatal nursing.
Michelle likes seeing patients of all ages and likes meeting the healthcare needs of families. She enjoys developing relationships with patients that motivate them to set and reach personal goals for their health. As a nurse practitioner she has experience in pediatric and adult health care.
Michelle’s hobbies include ice hockey, photography, cycling, camping, scouting, and spending time with her husband, 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
Xiaowen Lowe, NP
Xiaowen Lowe is a board certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
She has been practicing with primary care offices and post-acute care facilities since graduating from Texas Women’s University in 2014 with a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
She believes each patient is unique, taking the time to listen to each patient and forming a plan of care based on her/his specific need. She practices evidence-based medicine to ensure patients receive the best quality of care.
She is fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin.
Wendy Bockelman, FNP-BC
I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 4 years, and was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years before that, including 5 years as a Clinical Educator in a hospital and 10 years in cardiac rehabilitation that affords me years of experience with writing individualized plans for cardiac, diabetes, exercise, weight loss, smoking cessation, and mental health care. I am a certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional.
My BSN is from Oklahoma Baptist University, my MSN from University of Phoenix, and Post Master’s Nurse Practitioner degree from Texas Woman’s University.
Clayton Maze, FNP-C
Clayton Maze, FNP-C began his career as a combat medic in the US Army, where he developed a strong foundation in providing critical care. After transitioning to civilian life, he worked as an emergency room nurse, gaining extensive experience in fast-paced environments. His passion for patient care led him to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner, where he now enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and families. He is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Outside of his professional pursuits, Clayton enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing, as well as spending quality time with his wife and two children. He considers it a great privilege to serve his community through healthcare, finding fulfillment in making a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
Lauren Dethlefs, PA-C
Lauren Dethlefs is a board-certified Physician Assistant with 14 years of experience in practicing medicine. She is an Aggie at heart and graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Biology in 2007. Lauren then went on to complete her training at The University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating in 2010. She started her career working in the ER and Urgent Care, but has been in Family Practice since 2013.
Lauren is passionate about Family Practice, and she works to integrate traditional medicine with more alternative, natural approaches. She believes that an individual’s health should be a team effort, and strives to collaborate with her patients to make decisions that align with their own personal goals. This stems from a deeply-held belief in treating the person, not just the disease. Lauren will approach your healthcare with a compassionate mindset, tailoring treatment plans to your unique needs and ensuring you feel heard, supported, and cared for, every step of the way.
Outside of medicine, Lauren enjoys going on adventures and creating memories with her husband Ben and their three children. She is very active in their church, serving on Sunday mornings, as well as being a 7th-grade girls’ youth group leader on Wednesday nights. Lauren truly believes that leading and loving people is a calling, and considers herself incredibly blessed to be able to fulfill this passion, especially through her practice with her patients.
